Support your local demo derby.

Not sure if I've seen this one before . . . Did Tomica do this one as well?

Yes they did, and the tooling is very similar if not the same.

Yatming actually did two different castings of the 450 SEL.

I believe this casting was the newer of the two (but I have no proof). I also have the Tomica 450 SEL, and the two castings are quite different.

Light Metallic Brown:

Darker Brown with less Metallic (Creamier?)

Champagne:

Golden Yellow:

The other casting (slightly smaller, less detailed, no opening doors):

I stand corrected!

Of the smaller version:

Seems to fit in with other Yatmings- a group that was closer to 1:72, which included the Thunderbird, among others.

1061's a knockoff of the Tomica F7, although the grille detail's really third rate. I've had one in my collection for well over two decades now.

That Champagne colored sedan from Dean is fantastic! I really need to keep an eye out for that one.

Here's another 1061 color not listed here yet with same casting variations (modified rear bumper/base) seen on the Champagne version above.

It's actually a little darker than the pictures show, kind of a sea-blue/green that is hard to describe.

This casting looks so nice!

I always liked how they had separate red lights in the back.

This is a stunning color for this car and yet another I've not seen before!

When I returned the sea green 1061 to the case I took a closer look at the other Yatming 450 SELs in my collection. I found one other color not yet shown here, and 4 casting variations. First, the 1012 in a creamy yellow:

Unlike the early 1012s with plastic base, this 1012 has a metal base. Here it is next to an earlier 1012.

Check out the 3 different grilles on the 1061 and two different 1012s.

So, the 4 Yatming 450 SEL casting variations I have are:

1012 -- Plastic Base
1012 -- Metal Base
1061 -- Original long, separate rear bumpers
1061 -- Modified bumpers/base, presumably for ease of manufacturing and elimination of easy damage issues
