Well, at least the rear doors will come in handy for transporting speeders to a nice comfy cell. ;)

Hmmn, well the Japanese police do use cars like this as pursuit models. I suppose the Crowns are the backup?

They do indeed use sports cars to catch speeders. But in Japan, like in most countries, you don't get arrested for speeding. Just fined... ;-)

About the clear thing - dunno really! I've seen cars here that had similar things liek this to keep the bugs from splattering on the windscreen. Mainly outback-bound 4WDs though, not so much city police cars?

Still - it looks like some sort of an aero device.
