PEERLESS (US) 1900-1931

Peerless developed out of a firm in Cleveland Ohio that previously made clothes wringers and bicycles since 1869. Their first car was a "horseless carriage" that used bicycle wheels. In 1905 Peerless became recognized to be a prestige manufacturer. Later it became a chief competitor with Cadillac and other highend cars. The company failed because of the Great Depression. But the last cars produced were the sleekest and best designed vehicles the firm ever produced. It is unfortunate that Peerless did not survive.
The only small scale model is a two door 1911 Roadster ( however I question the manufacture date since the model appears to have newer stylingqualities than other cars of that era) It was made by High Speed #211 as a Readers Digest promotional in the late 1990s. Availability at present is unknown.

I recently came into possession of about a dozen High Speed castings, I wonder if one of them is #211. I'll have to check at home in the morning.
