The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

With as few Packards as there are in 1/64, this is a winner. Another odd choice for Tomica but I give them kudos for both thinking outside the box and for giving this one a working rumble seat! |

Support your local demo derby.

Retro American excess from bygone times. Wish someone would try to do one or two of these classic luxury cars from the 30s in small scale. |

The working rumble seat is a great touch. I've not seen these casting in person, but it reminds me of the Morgan that Tomy made around the same time. |

Got lucky- found one at my local flea market in durn good shape, for only a couple of bucks. I don't see excess in Packard's designs...nothing like you see in the current Rolls Phantom. In the '20s and '30s, Packard's designing was rooted in Greek architecture, clearly for a clientele who looked very much down on the excesses of the Hollywood crowd, for instance. The styling was always conservative, as were the drivetrains. The only area where you could claim there was an excess as far as Packards were concerned was quality. Reviewers of the era claimed that these cars were as solid as a bank vault. Excess? How about an AMG 63? |

You mean the Mercedes? Those things look pretty nice I think. There's been a lot of them, hard to tell for sure what you're talking about
