The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
That is a very nicely done Formula 1 car! Can you imagine if they reissued that one today in the Limited line?

Sadly that won't happen for a few reasons - one is that you can't put cigarette ads on toy cars, then Mattel now has the Lotus licence and so on. Would be good though...

Ronnie Peterson was his team mate that was killed. That was an awesome team, Colin Chapman's Lotus. Thanks for showing.

I remember getting this casting as a birthday gift from a friend when we were in the sixth grade...this was, of course, back in the covered wagon days.

I love this casting and the history of the 1:1. By the way, it looks great sitting in the garage dio!

I would love to hear more of seeing MA in Europe, that had to be a blast! What track did you go to?

In 1978 I spent 3 months in Europe and we were able to snag tickets for the French Grand Prix in July. I watched as Mario Andretti took 1st and Ronnie Peterson take 2nd. I will try to find some of the pic taken during the whole thing. How ever its been many years and just as many moves since. :driver:
