These must be promos - I can't see any other reason why Matchbox would release Model A vans advertising an annual Motorcycle race. |

The MB 38 Ford Model A Delivery Vans were probably the most used casting in the Matchbox line up outside of White Rose issues I believe? They created many unique promos etc which has almost become a "subforum" like collectors area by itself of those who ONLY collect the 38's....some love em some hate em. |

I only have one MB38- Champion Spark Plugs. I believe the first. I see no reason to bother myself with a labor of hate such as this. |

trying to collect all the variations of this would just take for ever as there are hundreds of variations including alot of code 3 issues. it is just the same with the mb17 daimler dms (londener) and the mb17 leyland titan buses as there are just to many variations to collect and there are thousands of code 3 models as well |

I enjoy collecting the 38's, as well as the 17's London busses, even the code 3's , you can also consider many of the tractor trailer convoy's in much the same way,,,as they are very interesting and each one is like a small work of art, as well as used to promote & celibrate current and past buisness' which in itself is interesting. Not to mention the license plate and smooth or grained roof variations. Variety is the spice of life.... |
