Station Wagon
BREWSTER (US) 1915-1935

This firm began automobile production in both Long Island City New York and Springfield Mass. They had been carriage builders since 1810. Their products were geared for the Upper Class echelon. In the early 1920s Rolls-Royce began assembly operations they used Brewster as one of their coachbuilders. In 1925 the Brewster automobile was discontinued. From 1926 -1934 the Brewster firm was absorbed by Rolls-Royce of America. But after the demise of this assmbly operation , the original Brewster firm was reorganized into the Springfield Manufacturing Corp . Most of the custom products produced by this new company were built a on Ford V-8 chassis. However some other marques were also used as well. The trademark grille featured a very stylish heartshape. In 1935 due to financial woes, the company was liquidated .
The only know model in small scale is by High Speed and was offered for a short period of time as a Readers Digest promotional.
