The neighbouring community of Hidden Valley in Calgary had what seemed to be a completely coincidental community garage sale. Every block, there was about three to four sales on the street all over, in this larger area of about 3,800 homes.

My parents and I were out and about early at 09:00 to join the crowds of people who did turn out, and this picture sums up my diecast finds. (I also purchased a book, and a Fisher Price Shake N Go Racer, but that's a different story)

I'll be posting larger images of certain cars in their appropriate brand photo section, as I rely on the community of Swifty's Garage to answer some questions with my finds!

Posted Image
From left to right, the front row:
Purple Majorette Mercedes Limousine (Project to recolour, and de-tampo), Neon Yellow Majorette Ford Escort, Mint Green Matchbox Lincoln Premiere, Silver Hot Wheels Porsche Carrera, Purple Hot Wheels Oldsmobile Aurora, Glow in the dark Lesney Matchbox Burnin' 280 (Someone needs to explain that one, in the MB area when photos are up), Yellow Majorette Ford Van.
Middle row:
White Majorette Peugeot 205 GTI, Blue Corgi Juniors Buick Regal police car (Info needed), Purple Hot Wheels Colour Changers Panel Van, Red Matchbox Ford Cargo Van, Blue Hot Wheels Fish'd & Chip'd, Yellow Matchbox CAT Dumper.
Back row: Unknown Pull-back Canada Post Van, Red Majorette Pumper Fire Engine, Neon Orange Hot Wheels Mazda Miata, Yellow Hot Wheels Tanker.

***Some cars were unintentionally acquired, and will be put up for trade. See the link in my signature.***

Thanks for looking, and hopefully you can explain individual cars in the other sections of the forum I'll be posting.

Support your local demo derby.

Nice finds. I have the Majorette fire truck leftover from my childhood collection. That one should be all metal and quite heavy. The Buick Regal by Corgi was casted just for the Kojak TV series then Corgi continued to use it as part of their small scale line.

Great pic.

...I have the Majorette fire truck leftover from my childhood collection...
I now have both this smaller pumper, and the larger ladder truck, and they compliment each other nicely. It's nice that they are so heavy.

That is interesting to know. I only saw the plain stock versions of the cast, and on the bay I saw the police version in black.

They did one in an off brownish color.

Pic stolen from google.

'75 Buick from the TV show.

Corgi also had a version in their larger scale line as well w/opening doors.

All pics were rudely stolen off of Google images.

Thanks for all the info craftymore!

...Though you've been very naughty for stealing and not "borrowing" the pictures.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Nice scores! The Corgi Regal is part of their "Superman" lineup of cars and should have Metropolis PD markings.

The Datsun 280Z was issued by Matchbox in their "Burning Key Cars" line, after Matchbox was purchased by Universal (makers of Kidco, who already had the Key Cars line). You put a key in the slot in the back, press it together, and the car shoots out.
