I'm with Ivan- nice finds! The Majorettes and the Playart Range Rover are my favorites of the bunch!

Once you start, you don't stop. Playart is one of the most unique and diverse lineups of cars you ever will find in small scale. They did a lot of cars that no one else did. The Range Rover is not an easy one to find- I have one but it's rough. Most Playarts were not produced in quantities like Hot Wheels or Matchbox, and were unfortunately considered "generic" by many a child and destroyed. Likewise, collectors never paid much attention to these gems until many years after the company had gone out of business, so prices on eBay are on the rise.

Many of the models were very nice. I can't believe it took so long for Playart to be noticed. I've always loved finding them in my travels.

Hard to believe how much vintage MIB Playarts sell for on fleabay. Playart has to be one of my favourite manufacturers simply because of the diversity of their range and the unique models they produced. The majority of castings are pretty decent in terms of quality and scale but there are a few that are a bit iffy. I was very dissapointed recently with a Rover P6 I had been after for ages, simply because it was far too small. Probably around 1:70 scale, but considering it wasn't a massive car, I don't know why they had to make it so small. Shame.

I've always had issues with the wheels on some of the models. Those big, clunky flower wheels were a downer.

I need to start seriously looking for Playarts. Can most of them be identified by what SAK calls "chunky flowery" wheels?

Not all, but most.

There were earlier two-piece wheels made with no regards to choking hazard, and later wheels that looked nicer. But the vast majority of Playarts came with 'flower' wheels which were actually supposed to be an imitation of Porsche's Fuchs Wheels:

Here are a pair of Playarts with later wheels:

Both the wagon and Caprice in the above pic are Playarts sporting later wheels.

This Mazda pickup also has later wheels of a different type.

Here's a BMW with earlier wheels:

And the Fuch's "flower" wheels:

You won't be disappointed by the castings- many have opening doors and all are fairly accurate to the 1:1s.
