New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Now showing up at Walmart on sidekickers/sidecaps in Mattel cardboard shippers, "Summer Racin' " has eight cars with both metal base and body, unique color schemes. I bought six of the eight.
Jaguar XK-8 metl. brown
Mercedes SL 55 AMG in white
'67 Chevy Camaro convertible in red, light blue windscreen
'57 Chevy Bel Air convertible BWF, the flames and interior being purple (probably the best looking car in the lot)
'70 Chevelle convertible in green with "Taxi" markings
Go Kart in yellow
Surf Crate (not pictured)
Pocket Bikester (not pictured)

Chevy lovers won big on this series.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I picked up five of these tonight (all pictured except the Go Kart).

James- if they have some left tomorrow I'll grab the Camaro, Chevelle, and '57 for you. And any of the others- you just need to let me know which others you might want.

JAMES I got a few extra, but the Camaro was not one of them, I guess they were already gobbled up. You know there will always be one of the regulasr here to take care of you.

CRAFTY---there is no MB casting here. That Mercedes is a HW casting---it's more rounded and bulbous than the MB version. I never bought the MB version, but seeing it lately I can say it appears much more realistic than the HW release!

Robbie was the one that mentioned the MB look alike Ivan, not me. I know we are about the same age and all, but how could you confuse Crafty with a Jedi? :D

Oh, sorry again Zach, must be an old redneck who can;t tell the difference between Illinois and Clemson.
Anyway, I thought MB meant Matchbox, because they DID do the same car, but I think "MB's" version is more realistic than the HW version. The HW version is not a casting I was familiar with until now.

I'm very happy that out of eight cars, most are "realistic" castings instead of bathtubs, golfcarts, or shopping baskarts.

The BWF '57 Chevy or the Jaguar? The same XK8 casting is also currently in the birthday line too.

The Jag is what I had in mind. But when I saw it in person at WM I decided against buying it. I know it's a HW car, but it's too much like a HW car, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I have way too many Jags now.
