I don't know about other places, but here is Mesa, and actually the entire valley, we have the photo radar vans that just wait for speeders. They park on the side of the road and flash cars left and right. I took these pics the other day near a major Mesa intersection...![]() ![]() Using this as my inspiration, I took an extra white Tomy Honda Odyessy and turned it into a picture van. It will soon be put to use in the latest diorama I'm making. Before: ![]() ![]() During: ![]() After: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I used pieces from my PIP tool box to fashion the radar unit/cameras on the van. The stickers are actually just paper, printed in Tahoma size 8, put on with a glue stick. The front mounting is the rear bumper of a FC Pinto, modified slightly. The blacked-out wheels are silver sequins, painted black and applied with double-sided sticky tape. I'm not wanting to start any kind of debate here, so I'm gonna keep my feelings about photo radar to myself...I just wanted to share my latest project. Thanks for looking...

That's very original, David. I don't think I've ever seen another radar van model. |

Turned out nice. I would agree with these being used in say, a school zone. Thanks for sharing pics of this project. Ernest |

Nice work! And I see we use the same brand of nail polish remover for customs! ![]() |

Thanks Friends! I really enjoyed this custom...my Partner thinks I'm crazy and he just shook his head and laughed when I showed him the finished van. |
