Support your local demo derby.

The 1st of two derbies was held tonight at Cayuga for the county fair. Car count was pathetic to put it nicely-17 full size, 7 compacts, and 4 trucks. About the worst count I've seen anywhere in the last 20 years. Full size paid $750 for 1st and $350 for 2nd as a result. The grandstands were full however and it only cost $5 for a seat. The drivers did put on a good show though.

Same car was at the fireman's derby 2 weeks ago. FWD Buick in a full size/full weld derby, still not a good idea! Fiberglass front fenders aren't a strong point for sure.

This hit put on by an early 60s Galaxie shattered the fuel tank in the Buick. Note the mid 70s Caddy front clip on the Galaxie.

Dave Matherly's CaddyBack. It has a Caddy sedan for a body and a Chevy roundback frame and rear leaf spring setup. Frame swaps are legal at Cayuga.

Gas spill from the Buick.

Believe the green car is a chevy corsica thought not sure. He would be the compact winner as the Volvo burned his transmission up and took 2nd.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Great pics. Shame about the low car count but yay at the Superman roundback for winning again.
