standlake hosted the annual summer open for over and under 1800cc bangers today. A good turnout of cars in both classes, the overs boosted by a good number of drivers from Belgium and the Netherlands. Top tin was provided by Camso driver 190 Hunter with his gorgeous Ford Galaxie, but other cars of note included 2 Cadillac Sevilles (one used), a Mk.3 Granada Minster, Mercedes Minster, an absolutely hanging Rover P5, 2 door Mk.2 Granada and a 4 door Mk.1 Granada hearse, among others. Some of the wrecks were amongst the biggest I've seen for quite some time as well

Fresh (ish)

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
First of all, looks like some nice tin showed up. Secondly, from the after pics, it looks like it was a very good race. Can't wait for the video!

Thanks for the video! I stand by my earlier comments- looks like one heck of a good meeting!

Thanks for the slow-mo at the very end. Absolutely insane hit- I backed up and watched the regular speed of that one three times! Lucky no one got hit by that chunk of debris!

yeah luckily the marshall who usually stands there was along the track a bit, you can see the bonnet hit the barrel where the flags are usually kept
