Nice work George. Not sure if anyone in small scale has done a stock version. Did you use some wheels from a Motormax Pinto? |

A Vega, actually. I imagine the same sized axles were used for both. They're a perfect fit on the Checker! |

Wow! What a difference! It would be nice to take this to ABQ to show Felix H what can be done - but meeting up may be a problem before I leave ? I have discussed this with him previously . His response has been that since the bar on the roof is part of the casting; to eliminate it would require a permanent modification to the tool . But I ask " How many more variations of the Cab can be sold?" |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Summer did a stock Marathon: http://www.breithaupts.com/totc309.htm But it doesn't hold a candle to this one! And I agree with Dave- Matchbox should do a stock version. If they alter the roof they could also put holes in it and use the new taxi roof sign.

Checking out the link: 1) Well, turns out I have TWO Summers- I have the Ford GT40. Always thought it might've been a Yatbanger. 2) and, Goshdurnit, I now want a THIRD! I want that Alfa Romeo! I saw one being test driven on one of the Saturday morning shows on Speedvision back when I was recovering from my back injuries. Wow, ya never know! |

Dave, as much as you (and I) would like to see them make one, I don't think they're gonna do it. A civilian Checker simply has no hormonal appeal. However, Felix Holst might think about, say, the extended wheelbase airport version. Lotta possibilities with that one. |
