Hope it's OK to post this here since Bill hangs in this forum...

Our pal Bill is going under the knife again! He is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow (6/30) and get what is hoped to be is FINAL hip replacement. Believe or not, for the past couple of months Bill has been getting around (with crutches of course!) with only one hip!!
So, keep a good thought and hope for a speedy recovery!

Hi guys, here is the latest from Bill “Two Hip” Hicks:

He’s doing well and sounding great! His spirits are up, and he’s been in the nursing home for re-hab since last Friday, expects to be home this Friday.
His attitude is good, he’s doing great at physical therapy, he’s on the minimum amount of painkillers, getting by mostly on Tylenol. Says he can feel the difference with the hip versus no hip, as he can now put weight on that leg.
Bill wanted to pass along to his fellow board members that he’s thankful for their thoughts and prayers, and he’s looking forward to being his old self again.

Glad to hear his surgery was a success and that he's coming home soon. :)

I guess there is big difference in after care with a few more years on your frame. Chris had a 10 inch steel plate put in his thigh on Saturday and was sent home on friday. We had a few days of very painful times and things are coming along great, I am sure that if that was done to me i would still be in the hospital. Years are not kind when healing needs to happen quickly.

Take care, and get well, we need you back here at the garage posting those awesome customs.

Hi all! I just found out this morning this place had a library with computers. Not a soul in here.
Thanks Mark for letting everyone know how I'm doing, and thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. They are very much appreciated.
I am doing well, short of them trying to get the thickness of my blood figured out (needs to be thinner to prevent a blood clot), so while I'm still hopefull for leaving Friday it's unsure if it's going to happen just yet.
I'm hanging around for a short while to see what's up on the boards but will be back most likely before I head home.
Thanks again!
