This one was one Sean originally had plans for- he wanted to crush it for the yard. I thought better- that it would look nice in a new, properly applied coat of paint.

I think it looks nice, although, the glazing's a little shot.

You know, part of why it works is that it now matches a disturbing number of Universal era Euros that came in this color...the Jag XJ6, Saab 9000, Vauxhall Cavalier, Rover Sterling, etc...but then, I love metallic red anyway.

And the Rolls-Royces... Ever notice how many of those metallic red cars were British cars?

The same reason people restore Vegas, Pintos, and Gremlins. Someone has to preserve them!

Actually, a coworker's friend is just about finished restoring a Vega wagon. I pointed him to JLCollector to show him the pic of the JL Spoiler version and then the link to JL Talk and gave him Tom Z.'s screen name. Right now it's a primer PIP and I personally think that would make an awesome JL!

Doesn't restoring a Skoda make more sense than casting a 357th different version of a Porsche 911 Targa?
