Back on Memorial Day, my wife hands me a surprise. Her best friend's beau crafted, out of wood, a two car garage for me, for my dioramas in the basement. Unasked. I thought, wow, this is cool! I was told that he would make, for me, anything I want.

"How 'bout an eight-bay garage?"
"Sure."

I had originally wanted to make it a body shop, but I realized that I was more in need of an auto repair facility. My wife brought it home last night, a seven- rather than eight-bay facility, but still great nonetheless. I painted it this afternoon.

There is evidence that a lot of hours of work went into that! It realy looks realistic and will be a great addition to your diarama layout!

I love how the single coat of acrylic makes it look old and decrepit, just one step ahead of the Sheriff with a condemnation order. One improvement: in the last bay on the right, I put a car on a lift. How can it be a 'we fix 'em' without a lift?

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
That's incredible- not only the craftsmanship but the weathered effect of your painting! I love it! Can't wait to see it!

I really like the weathered look to it. And because it's been tailor made, the cars fit within the bays perfectly.
