Today’s Car of The Day is Tomy’s Toyota Probox.

The Toyota Probox was introduced by Toyota in Japan in August 2002. It is a small wagon designed for commercial use as a delivery car, and closely related to the Toyota Succeed.

Body type Wagon
Drive Full 4WD
Transmission 5 speed manual
Displacement, 1496 cc

The Succeed is a small five-door wagon sold by Toyota in Japan. Designed for commercial use, it is a simple design, and was introduced in August 2002. A more basic version for delivery use is known as the Toyota Probox.

For model year 2007 on Japanese models only, G-BOOK, a subscription telematics service, is offered as an option.

This is one of my all-time favorite castings. The rear hatch opens, which is a bonus. However, it is cancelled out by the lack of rear window. Tomy makes many versions of the Probox, from this to a fire depeartment vehicle. Unfortunately there’s not much info available, at least that I could find.

The streets of Tokyo are positivley crawling with these - I've always presumed this represents a "Tomy" company vehicle due to the writing on the side.

Makes two of us! I can't remember if I ever picked this one up or not... I hope I did though!
