Today's car of the day is AutoArt's Honda Integra (Acura RSX).

Wikipedia

The Honda Integra, a car sold as an Acura in North America and as a Honda elsewhere, is a sporty front-wheel drive vehicle sold both as a sedan and hatchback. In the Acura lineup it was the smallest, least expensive model, designed to offer a competitor to vehicles like the Volkswagen Golf VR6, which was the most well known and popular "hot hatch" of the late 1980s when the Integra was introduced. Although a sedan was available for the first three generations of the Integra, it was dropped when the vehicle transitioned to its fourth generation "DC5" platform, sold as the RSX in North America. The Acura TSX now takes the Integra sedan's spot in the lineup.

Under the Honda lineup, the Integra was near the middle, slotting above smaller cars such as the Honda City, the Honda Civic, and the Honda Logo. The Honda Integra was considered to be mid-sized car by Japanese standards.

We've been doing Car Of The Day for more than nineteen months now, and this is the first AutoArt we've run. This one was purchased just last weekend at the Hobbyrama show in Harrisburg and is a nice representation of a car better known on this side of the Atlantic as the Acura RSX. AutoArts are beautiful little replicas, and this one was offered for a price I couldn't refuse.

Wikipedia

The fourth generation Integra, produced from 2002 on, was renamed the Acura RSX for the United States, Canada and Hong Kong in accordance with Acura's new alphabetical naming scheme. It also had an entirely new engine, the K-series. It came in two models in the United States, the RSX base model, and the RSX-S boasting the K20A2 engine from 2002 to 2004, while the 2005 and 2006 RSX-S came with a K20Z1. The RSX was still sold as a Honda Integra in Japan and Australia, markets where Acura did not exist.

In March 2006, Honda announced that the Integra will be discontinued in June after its final 300 cars are sold, due to the shrinkage of coupe market. The reaction of the consumers towards the discontinuation, however, forced Honda to extend production until July 2006 and produce 150 more Integras. The Acura RSX was discontinued as well, as the RSX did not fit within the confines of Acura's re-structured market strategy, and that the introduction of the similarly powerful and less expensive 2006 model-year Honda Civic Si was there to fill in the gap left by the RSX.

The Welly Intergra is brilliant, but this is even better.

I love the colour, the wheels, the badging, the light lenses etc. Actually, I just like everything about it :P

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Very good casting. Notice all the fine details and painting. I assume no opening parts as all joint lines look closed. Nice wheels, nice overall look. The top view shows what looks like a good detailed interior.

1/64 scale and no opening features. AutoArt has done a few 1/64s, but not many.

We have used earthier terms in the past when he arrived late for the meal because he missed a turn to get to my house.
