Support your local demo derby.

I just get a blank page when I tried earlier. The server might be down or Wyatt is making some upgrades to the site perhaps.

Can you see what I'm saying?
*Hands out cookies and coffee while you wait*

Don't worry, Swifty didn't bake them or make the coffee, I did...so they taste good! :coffee:

Does JLTalk have an IF address? Perhaps the domain name is just down and you can use the original IF address as a backdoor?

I don't think so- they're a paid board, so they wouldn't have an Invisionfree board URL. They were paid for up front so if there is a specific board URL, it's never been announced to people.

Reminds me I need to stop in over there! I haven't checked in awhile.

This is a message that I posted in the Johnny Lightning forum earlier this morning:
"I thought that I would pass along this message.
JLTalk.com has been down and unaccessible for atleast the last two days.
Late Friday afternoon, I advised Wyatt of a potential problem.
Consequently, he notified Bobby Williams about this situation.
As of this morning, JLT is still down and unaccessible.
I think that there are some issues with the server.

I have received a few messages from members inquiring about the situation and thought that it was best to post a message here.
With many members here also members at JLT, I thought that it might be a good idea to pass along that information here at Swifty's Garage.
When JLT is back up and running, I will try to let everyone know.
I guess that we wil have to exercise some patience in this situation."

As of 12:42 PM local time, JLTalk.com is still unaccassible.
Between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM local time Friday, I tried accessing the site from many different ways including re-booting my computer several times with no success. When I got home from work Friday afternoon I tried again to access the site with no success.
Obviously there is a server problem.
I haven't heard back from Wyatt since Friday night, so we will have to wait and see what develops.
Thank goodness for Swifty's Garage.

Cheers. Cobra

I replied to the thread on Hobby Talk.

A HT member made a remark about us not worring about JLTalk being down.

The thread is deleleted on HT.

Thanks for the update Cobra. JLTalk is #2 of 3 diecast sites I frequent and the 3rd is not so friendly when it comes to conversations about other sites.

My guess is this is out of Wyatt's hands or it would probably already be fixed. Patience- it'll be back and better than ever in no time! :)

For all of those members of JLTalk.com who are suffering from withdrawal symptoms or simply miss their daily dose of diecast, here is the latest information that I can provide.
At 12:03 PM today, I received this message from Bobby Williams, so I thought that I would share that message with the rest of you.

Quote:
"Hello Gerry,

An upgrade was performed by Invision Power Board that brought us down. It will require an upgrade to another release level to bring us back up. They have a trouble ticket in, and it should be completed by the end of the day. Everything should migrate over, but we will lose our custom skin.

Bobby"

I had sent an e-mail message to Bobby about the potential problem last night. Wyatt had been trying to contact him several times over the weekend but he couldn't get in contact with Bobby. Wyatt had replied to a message that I sent him early last night.
Thus my efforts to contact Bobby.
The GOOD NEWS for all of us is the fact that JLTalk.com will be up and operating again soon.

I would also like to take this opportunity to express a special thank you to Swifty for allowing me to post these messages here.
Swifty, you are definitely the best.
Thank you.

Cheers. Cobra
