This marque was founded by Henry Leland. Coincidentally, he had formerly served in management at Cadillac. In 1922, the company was acquired by Henry Ford and has succeeded in marketing and production to the upper class as the top of the line model in the Ford hierarchy . In 1940, Lincoln introduced their first model of the Continental . Production of this limited availability model was based on the existing Zephyr body of that era. Prduction ceased in 1948 and is now referred to as the Mark 1 model which was followed by the Mark II in 1956 and 1957.

Small scale models of the early Continental were issued by RCErtl , Laramie and LJN Toys.
Miniature models of the remaining Lincolns have been issued by Matchbox, Muky, Hot Wheels , Summer, Johnny Lightning, Zeetoy, Yat Ming, Kinsfun, Jada, Mini-Lindy, Tomica , Maisto, Ricko and Erie Toys.

That Capri is gorgeous- another car I'd love to see in 1/64. And I think it would be a good fit in the M2 range...

I know its a faint cry in the wilderness, but does anybody make any of the '30's V-12 Lincolns?

As far as I know, the closest would be the '41 Continental in small scale.

In respect to the question about an early 30s Lincoln in small scale being available, I just remembered that Ricko had one in their catalog a couple of years ago of a circa 31 Touring Car- which I believe was in 1:87 (?)
