Station Wagon
This marque was introduced by Chrysler Corporation as their least expensive Division during the Great Depression.. It became a chief competitor for many decades to Ford and Chevrolet. During the 1930s the Plymouth was also exported to England where it was badged as the Chrysler Kew and Wimbleton. During the late 1950s the very attractive Fury model was introduced. This was followed by the compact Valiant in the 1960s which was also available in Argentina and Australia .
The Valiant series led to the development of the Barracuda "Muscle Car" in the 1960s. In the 1970s, Plymouth rebadged the English import Hillman Avenger and called it the Arrow. They also imported the Simca based Horizon subcompact as well. Later joint venture products from
Mitsubishi in Japan were also added to the line. And in 1997 the radically designed Prowler 2 passenger sports model was added to the line. But following the corporate merger into DaimlerChrysler, financial competiotion proved too much to continue operating . Thus this Division was shut down; although the Prowler continued in production for an additional year. It carried the Chrysler badge.

Models in small scale of this marque have been made by AHI, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, Hot Wheels, Maisto, Ertl/Racing Champions, Greenlight, Zylmex, Yat Ming, Playart, MotorMax, and M2 Auto-thentics. There may have been others as well as it was a very popular marque. Also noted MotorMax produced a pickup concept version of the Prowler which was called the Howler. But this full size vehicle never reached production.
In addition Buby in Argentina produced a plastic model of the Valiant. It was never recast in metal, unfortunately as thiis model is now extremely rare.
