New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Found this on my last stop after work on the way home. I looked straight at it on the peg, then started to smile thinking how obvious, but someone still missed it.

Now, keep a sense of humor about this, but I thought------I'll bet you someone, somewhere found one of these and went to their favorite diecast site or board and asked,
"Is this really a White Lightning??"

Support your local demo derby.

It's a regular release, but a hard to find one at that! Think the 'actual' WL attributes include a white interior and something else. Congrats on the find Ivan.

I'll add that Tom Z did this as a tribute car. Even though it does say WL, it's not the actual WL for this release.

CRAFTY, that's exactly why I'm laughing----I think I heard about this being mentioned here somewhere awhile back. It says White Lightning in large lettering, it has all white wheels, and then we're told it isn't a WL?? So who thought up this idea?? Can you imagine HW making a vehicle that has Real Riders for wheels, has "Treasure Hunt" graphics on the side, but we're told it REALLY isn't a TH??? This is why I think all cars should be up for custom bait, or in your case, derby bait.
WL or not, I like this one as a good souvenir of JL's 4oth.
