Support your local demo derby.

Went out my front door this afternoon to walk to the gas station for some things and found a FedEx box sitting on the porch! :D Inside were the following from Mr. Hughes.

MB bulldozers - Almost bought the larger one yesterday, (Tuesday).

JL 1st gen Charger and the new MB Jaguar XK.

Future derby bait. :P

Excellent looking JL '59 Impala.

3 JLs from the racing series. All three were new in the blister but . . .

The GTO wasn't riveted together! Shoddy JL quality.

I thought sitting in the blister that the GTO looked a bit funny with the body sitting kind of high. Who new it wasn't even on the base! lol

Ernest, this was a really nice box you sent. I still owe you your box and will try to have something sent out by the weekend or Monday at the latest. Thank you very much for a cool surprise on a gloomy looking Wendesday.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Nice trade!

And that JL Ford's too nice to demo! *gasps* Likewise that's a short-run color on the Vista Cruiser. You really sure you want to tear it up for a car that's known as a lackluster derby car at best? ;)

That is a very nice haul! I need to find one of those Ford police cars. The one & only I had years ago I Zingerized and gave away. I need one now for my cop car collection. Thanks for the pic as it gives me something to hunt for.

AFter thinking about it, do think I'll keep the Olds wagon and Ford police cruiser stock. I've used the same Ford cruiser for several other derby cars and really, how many early 60s Ford products are you even likely to see at a derby in 2009? One or perhaps two at the most extreme case.

What a great trade guys... Some awesome looking stuff there !!!
I'm still hunting down that JL tow truck... I know I've run out atleast 1 tank of gas looking for it... The closest I came to it so far was the chrome version of just the pick up truck !!!

Posted Image

Anyone know of one please let me know !!!

Glad it finally arrived this week. Was hoping you hadn't already found the tow truck in your area.

Cheers.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
The 1959 Impala is sweet. One of the better looking JL efforts.
Glad you're not going to derby/banger that Ford cop car.

Earnest, that JL Ford tow truck is a good one to have. I need to start a search for that one.
