Today's bus of the day is Road Champs' 1991 International 3800 School Bus.

Wikipedia

The International 3800 was a Type C (conventional) bus chassis manufactured by Navistar International, used for school bus and commercial bus applications. It was introduced in 1989 as the replacement for the S-Series. The 3800 used powertrains and components from the 4700 and 4900 lines of medium duty trucks.

The good old all American school bus. This cast is the closest I have to matching up to proper scale in the 1:64 line. A retractable stop sign and all metal casting makes for the overall collectible appeal on this model. I wish more diecast companies would consider bringing back such models in these sizes again.

Wikipedia

Type C ("conventional") school buses have a GVWR of over 10,000 pounds, typically between 23,000 and 29,500 pounds. These are constructed from a bus body mounted to a cowled medium-duty truck chassis usually supplied from another manufacturer. Typical passenger capacity ranges from 36-78 passengers.

Support your local demo derby.

That's basically what my bus looked like that I rode on from junior high on up till I got my set of wheels. Bus #4 was the number. Great pics Jermaine. :bowing:

How I longed back in the '60s for someone to do a school bus. This one here certainly looks like the best of the lot I've seen.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Ohhh, I like this one, too, with the long body and short wheelbase!
