![]() Today's car of the day is Hot Wheels' 1972 Ford F-150 (Texas Drive 'Em). ![]()
![]() For more information and pictures of the real car please visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series ![]() A very nicely done lifted and gifted Ford F-150, from a generation of Ford trucks that has been largely ignored in 1/64. My only complaint is that the tailgate was cast in the open position, meaning if Hot Wheels ever decides to move this one to the Mainline it will likely come with a plastic cap like the '79 Ford pickup or possibly a camper shell or just a plastic tailgate. I do wish the tailgate opened but Hot Wheels rarely has opening features outside of hoods so that's not a surprise. ![]()

Sweet truck. Was wondering what year exactly it was suppose to be. They need some more scale correct wheels, but it still looks overall good for a HWs attempt. |

I'd just like some nicer rims, period.

While we are on changes we'd like to see from HWs, how about changing the way the base is on 4x4 castings. Never understood why under the axles they have to have those ugly disc like parts on the base. Looks esp bad. |

They could get rid of the cargo in the back too, I'd like just an empty truck instead of those awful bikes. |

I agree with all the previouslt stated comments. regular bed floor, working tailgate, and better chassis. As soon as I got mine, I changed the rolling stock to some real riders. A big improvement. Thanks for the pics and the write up. EH |

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!

Lots of potential here for good customs. Ditch the open tailgate, the bike load, and the winch front. Oh, most of the others have already said that! |
