Here is one of those cool patrols, in a 1977 situation.

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I like any cruiser casting, but the front bumper and push bars on this one make the casting look cartoonishly clunky. Maybe if I had one and could look at it from a different angle, I'd think differently.

The original casting dates to 1998 (and was designed to be a Bluesmobile right from the start). They have a 1977 Dodge Monaco on tap for 2010- and I'm confident it will look much better than this one!

I'm SURE it will look much better.....
We can get a decent Monaco cruiser from Matchbox for 97cents. I wish JL would do a 1971 Galaxie or a 1980's Chevy "brick." Cop cars and taxi's galore!! :D

While this is true, Matchbox doesn't have "The Dukes Of Hazzard" license and JL does. And collectors have been begging JL to do the accurate '77 Monaco instead of re-releasing the '74 in all the Hazzard (and surrounding counties) paint schemes. Who knows- maybe they'll tool up the Fury and Coronet front and rear fascias and get their money's worth out of the tooling!

Okay, good point, Swifty, I wouldn't have thought of that.
