End here we are looking at the last releases for this year already... Goes faster every year, doesn't it? Anyway...first one up is the 3rs Gen Toyota Prius - replacing the Nissan Elgrand at #89: ![]() Next up, the Toyota Wish (the new #93 - replacing the Aero Star) - another family cruiser. This is what you see on Japan's streets, so they are sticking to their realism, even if it is not always terribly exciting for us. Then again, few of us went into spasms when Matchbox released the Ford Cortina, right? ![]() More extension of the "Long" range - the first and all new #139 - Isuzu Giga Wing Truck. Very nice, very trad Tomica Long: ![]() And lastly - Tomica Limited #114 - Isuzu Giga Cement Mixer ![]() This may or may not be a new cab/back combo - I think it is but I just don't care all that much - the TL has lost me as of late and going more for the TLV if I NEED to have it. That's all for now - sorry for the delay but it's been a busy few weeks. Edited by diecastdingo, Oct 21 2009, 05:11 AM.

The Toyota Mini-Van actually looks really cool! The cement mixer rocks. Wonder how small scale wise that is? Thanks for posting up these pics Patrick!

I was just waiting for Tomica to release the 3rd gen Prius. If anyone was going to produce it in small-scale, it would be then. I'll be buying one when it comes out. |

Me too! I do find it sad that Matchbox did the second generation Prius right as the third generation car came out. Really bad timing on their part (in my opinion). No surprise that Tomica is on top of things and the first to do the third generation car! And the Wish- yet another MPV but I like the style, I like the color, and I think the name is cute and suits it. |

Boring, mundane family cars make Sakadoo go into spasms. Keep 'em coming! |

That's the best thing I've heard in a while! I happen to like "boring, mundane family cars" too. I'm glad there's more of us out there.

Hey! Don't knock the hybrids! After driving a few, I like them! Not much of a dynamic style, but the feeling of driving away with hardly any engine sound ( most of the time) is a different kind of experience. And naturally, I like to replicate the real thing in my favorite small scale size! Plus I wrote an article about all known models of hybrids sold in America in Tales of Toy Cars, now part of toycollector.com in England last August. In addition to the 3rd Gen Prius from Tomica , I also want to get the Honda Insight also by Tomica , the MB Insight and Fisker Karma and the Hasbro Transformers "Jolt" ( Chevy Volt) when available ! |
