They folded up like a stack of cards. These releases seem like answers to questions that no one asked. I'm sure these appeal to someone out there, just not me. Considering how realistic their '57 Bel Air casting in 1/24 is, these really make ya wonder. |

Muscle Machines only folded because they sold out to Action, who promptly strip-mined the brand for all it was worth. Will these sell? Time will tell, but I'm sure the Muscle Machines fans will be happy to see them! |

Interesting history on Muscle Machines (MM) . They were owned by Funline and this company was sold to Action Performance ( AP). AP in turn was sold to Motorsports Authentics (MA), a separate division of NASCAR. Now I understand MA is facing bankruptcy (?) Anyhow, MA did issue some additional MM models , but the demand was not there, assumably since the models were tampoed with NASCAR logos. In the mean time the former owners of Funline began a new company called Castline and began producing very realistic M2 Auto-Authentics models . Now it appears M2 is reverting back to the MM era with some of their new products. But it is noted the car bodies are not distorted like those on the MMs were. As you can deduce, I like ONLY realistic models! |
