Nothing Runs Like A Deere

I've bought a few selections from Batch L at two separate times at the same WM but still yet to see this Caddy. At least they fixed the ride height on this one over the Hearse version. Nice pic Dave. |

Just found this at my local W-Mart last nite. Only one there on the pegs. Happy to get it since Kiddie Kar was sold out. They only received one per case! This action on the part of Mattel proves the company enjoys supplying the Scalpers. They did this for years wit Hot Wheels and now it is happening with MB as well. I recall back in the Tyco days when Kiddie Kar would receive new castings in large quantities which made it much much easier for the collectors to complete their collections! This one to a case business stinks!! |

Back in the Tyco era Matchbox could still be ordered by the number. Need 20 of #72? They could do it. Remember the ambulance, like the Vista Cruiser and Monaco before it, will be available for multiple batches. I haven't found anything from Batch L yet (my Walmart has too much from Batch K yet) but I'm not worried. I will find them eventually! |

Makes two of us! *Sighs* They will eventually be easier to find! As they stop being the 'hot' new item with future assortments. |

New casting?? Quick! Take it apart!
|
I think there are several new cars that only come one or two to a case in L, but I bet the mix will change as newer cases come out. Remember the rush for the Monaco police cruiser? I think MB did a really nice job on this ambulance. The roof sculpturing with the light fairings looks very 1950s ambulance---I wonder if MB used a prototype or came up with the design themselves? Either way, I like it. Edited by ivantt, Nov 21 2009, 12:18 PM.

We're getting Batch C in Canada, so it may be some time before we see some of the newer stuff. Thanks for the pictures. Cheers. Cobra |

1/81 scale is the only way it would fit the blister. So while it's very small in comparison to the real car, it fits the Matchbox range as best it can. One of my biggest pet peeves is fit the blister models.
