I found a bunch of the 40th series on the pegs at a TRU today... I gotta say, (and I really hate too), but I was sure dissapointed when I got home and opened them up... On a scale of 1 to 10 for quality, I give them about a strong 3 1/2... Paint is messed up on most of them, finger prints and runs, wheels are bent on some, some wheels don't roll, some rims are inserted in the tires crooked, none of the hoods open and close right, some of the windows are very hazy, very poor detail and many of them don't set level... I'm soooo sorry to say, but I now believe JL has fumbled the ball big time !!! They all look good in the pics though !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I 100% have to agree with you. I have no problem with the plastic bases (and I love the price point!) but the lack of fit & finish on these is hurting the brand's image. I've seen Daytona spoilers pop off with the cars still in the packaging- and with the lower price point more of these are ending up in the hands of kids. If you want to compete against Hot Wheels and Matchbox in the cheap end of the market you have to have a durable product that can take abuse- these don't cut it. |

I've only bought a few of these for myself. Left many on the pegs for the exact reasons as stated above. |
Who says small cars don't hit hard?

I've found all of those defects too on the ones I've bought. Why oh why do they have to put in those foggy looking windshields. It's a big turn off. |
