![]() Today's Car of the Day is Malibu International's C6 Audi A6. ![]() Leave the E-Class at the Mercedes dealership, this is how the real ballers roll when BMW's iDrive takes the 5 Series out of contention. ![]()
![]() More info and pictures: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_A6 ![]() Like the rest of the Malibu Int. line (just re-branded High Speed castings), this car comes to us in true 1:64 and has some fantastic detail. Jeweled headlights AND taillights, correct wheels, and a very detailed (although solid color) interior. At $3 before the markdowns, I can live with the plastic base! Here it is alongside another Malibu Audi, the Q7. I started taking pictures of it for today's CotD, but then I checked and saw that Zach had already done it! I figured it deserved a place in this post somewhere anyway Also, you can see how the scales are so closely matched even for two vehicles with somewhat different proportions.

Correct, rims, proportionally scaled, and jeweled headlights are reasons to love High Speed castings. A beautiful model of a terrific 1/1 car. . .Hope Greenlight decides to start including some of these non-American castings into their Motor World Series, they deserve to be offered a much wider audience than when these were first released a few years ago.I would say great pics Robbie, but I think I can speak for a good chunk of the Garage and say we expect nothing short of awesome photography from ya to start with.

Thanks Zach. I know these recent ones haven't been up to par; I can't find a decent place to shoot in my house and don't have anything to make any sort of backdrop like you've got. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Another nice one! And I actually like these pics with the Christmas tree in the background.

It's a lovely casting - I've got a High Speed issue in grey metallic. But it's an A6, not an A8. They look similar at the front but the rear is completely different http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_A6 |

So it is, James. That badge tampoed on the back sure looks like an 8, even when blown up in full res picture, and the name's not on the base. Lemme fix this thread
