Here is another pretty nice one that JL has recently done.

The wheels are plastic, but don't look too bad here. They also have "Good Year" stamped on the rear tires, something you don't see a lot of on the plastic variety.

The tampos are nicely handled. No blobs or chips, or dust trapped in the paint. My biggest complaint here would be the wheels. Like several other cars I've noticed this one has those extra plastic bumps, or fragments that do not get properly trimmed. This really draws the eye in some of the close up picks, and can spoil the illusion of realism.

Overall detail and quality put this one fairly high on the list of recent releases from JL. If you can get past all the hooplah concerning JL these days, and you don't mind plastic bases, they've made a few cars that are worth a look for the price. IMHO, this is one of them. Just take a close look at the wheels for badly trimmed ones. I got this one from an OLD. So those things aren't always scrutinized. or can't be if they want to make their money back on them :02:

I've seen this car run several times, very cool to see in diecast.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
I'll be adding it to my collection when I find it!

What's the rear window say?

"Don's Collision Center" on rear window...along with an address and phone number that you need a magnifying glass to see. It's the little details like that that I really miss in JL these days. Pretty nice job here overall. It just needs a wheels swap, or better trimmed plastic on mine. BTW does anyone know if you can pop these plastic tires off to trim around the rims? Never tried it, and don't want to risk messing it up without some expert guidance.
