A 'Billboard' chart, if you will, for diecast sites on the web. I direct your attention to #30. I also direct your attention to the fact that the Matchbox Collectors Community Hall isn't even on the chart. Strange, but true...

...and hilarious.

Sites have to be affiliated with the Hot 100 to be ranked. We have their logo (and link) on a front page. Most of the other boards don't so it's not really a fair comparison.

No, I'm firmly convinced that our friend left a bad impression, or vice-versa. Why deny yourself an avenue of exposure?

i'm on there too- all you need is a "badge" on your home page linking back to the Hot 100 site- every once in a while i see something interesting there... i'm not sure how the whole voting/ranking thing works (or is supposed to work) but, it is usually a good listing of current sites out there...

IMHO, the numbers are bogus. It is usually members or the owners of those listed on the Hot 100 who click "in and out" to crank up the ratings.

Ah, so that's what that little pic at the bottom of the home page represents. I see it almost every day but I've never clicked on it.

If you click on the top100 logo at the bottom you go to a site where you can rate where you came from, drop the "Worst to best" menu down and vote. I voted for teh Best. maybe we can move Swiftys up a notch or 2.

My vote brought Swiftys up from 30 to 25

Awesome, and thank you! But the ranking doesn't really matter to me. To be honest I'd have never signed up for it except another forum owner convinced me to a few years back. I was ready to remove the link entirely about a year ago but Celica Baby stopped me. Not because it generates traffic. Not because it's advertising for the forum...

...But because their logo is cool. Behold the power of black with flames!

And so it stayed. ;)

Despite the fact we're listed on there, I am in complete agreement with this. I also suspect that's why there's such a high turnover rate of sites listed.

Yeah- i agree the whole voting/ranking is "fixed". it's also flawed in the way they rank the sites- because it only tracks according to votes, and links to and from each site through the listing.

... I've never "voted", but; how can my site, with only about 2,000 visits a month ever come in ahead of Swifty's?
and, how could other forums get 50 or more votes within a day of resetting the ranking list?
why do you only have to pay a toll to get OUT of New Jersey?
and, why do hot dogs come in packs of 8 and buns only come in packs of 6?

seems like a conspiracy to me...

Because Pennsylvania will exploit any advantage they can get!
