I believe this was a Yat Ming...if not feel free to move this thread elsewhere. It's been a couple of years since I got it from Mark A. at JJ. Nice truck at any rate.![]() Prior to M2, this was the first 1/64 diecast with opening doors I had since I was a kid. Of course, not being into as many brands as i am now back then, I just became enthralled with Jr. here. ![]() The grill is tampoed here, as the front of the truck is molded smooth. ![]() ![]() This is the last of my photo-playing for the day. I've been spending way to much time here lately. I guess I'm becoming a garage guy who just likes to lay back and babble about as many different types of diecast as i can get my hands on these days...or as far as my wallet allows, I should say. Got some cool things coming this month. Should make for some interesting babble. Have a good weekend, people Edited by Dragnet_Supporter, Feb 5 2010, 08:37 PM.

Defintely a Yatming model . . . this was in the same series as a '40ish Ford, '50 GMC and several other vintage trucks with this Mack being the only one with an opening hood and doors. Only thing this doesn't have is a metal base. This Mack was the hardest to find of any in the series. Wish Yatming would release these in some new colors sometime soon. Really enjoyed all the pics you've posted this week Robert. Look forward to see some more in the near future.

Hood doesn't open on this casting to my knowledge. And nice pics of a classic- I love this casting!

Yep, a nice casting! I have the red and yellow version. (I like the red version better). I saw a light blue version, but I didn't buy it. ![]() |

That red version does look sweet. Sean's right, the hood doesn't open on this one, but the base is plastic. Thank's for the encouragment on the pics, Zach. I'm going to pick up some better background paper today and hopefully that will work out better still for next week's pics. I have to go over my camera book more thoroughly to see how I can adjust the exposure better. I still have some bluring issues...though not as bad as before. |

I've seen the red, yellow, and baby blue versions of the Yatming '37 Mack Jr. Does anyone know if these 3 colors are the only colors for the '37 Mack Jr.? |

I believe I have all the colors of this model. Those 3 colors are the only ones listed in my collection database. |

The only places I saw these were at Walgreens and a train show. Did anyone buy these at a big box store? |

Now that you mention it, I don't believe I ever saw these at a big box store. I bought all mine from Walgreens, and a few from an online store. Too bad they aren't making more variety now, I'd buy them up in a flash. |

The only thing that didn't strike true on the vehicles in this series (this one, '50 GMC, '38 Ford, '53 Ford, '48 Ford, '37 Studebaker) were the whitewall tires. Given the mission of these pick-ups, that would be like formal wear at a greased pig contest. |
