Great finds! Are the Stockars rare in clear? Haven't seen those before. Then again, I haven't found an Ecto yet, either. As for the white tires, many vintage cars of the period the Ol' 5.5 comes from came with white rubber tires: http://www.musclecarclub.com/other-cars/classic/ford-model-t/images/ford-model-t-1a.jpg https://secure.lynbrook.k12.ny.us/msarosy/images/model-t.gif |

I bought 3 of these Stockars at Target, just because it's different. Other than that, I can't see what the big draw is for this car. It has a clear plastic body and interior, with a metal chassis. Maybe I could paint the inside of the body, I wonder if I'd like it better then. |

New casting? Quick!! Take it apart!
|
I just may be the first or ONLY person to say the ECO is not that great of a diecast. I think it will be hot for awhile due to demand and the fact that probably only one or two come in a case. But then, like the Batmobile and Bone Crusher, it will settle down and become easy to get. The casting is not bad, but doesn't look as overall nicely done as the MB ambulance and hearse. The add on features to make it the movie car is just one big lump of plastic that snaps onto the top, and lacks sophistication and detail, and is a big disappointment compared to the picture on the blisterpack card. I'd say don't give your money away to the scalpers for this one like people did for the Batmobile. |
I used to be a genius, but I found out it's a lot less work and more fun to be a redneck.
