The car for today is Biante's 2003 Ford BA Falcon FPV GT-P

The center sections of the rims even have the Ford logo on them. B)

Wikipedia.com

Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) is the Melbourne-based official performance car division of Ford Australia, founded in 2002.

FPV can trace its roots back to 1991, when the British automotive engineering company Tickford began a collaboration with Ford Australia to produce high-performance variants of the Australian Falcon range. The partnership between Ford and Tickford, Tickford Vehicle Engineering, saw the introduction of the successful Ford Falcon XR6 and Ford Falcon XR8 variants. This was followed in October 1999 by the launch of the Ford Tickford Experience dealer network and the FTE T-Series model line based on Ford’s AU Falcon and Fairlane models. Poor sales saw a change in marketing approach from Ford. In 2002, following the purchase of Tickford by Prodrive, the Ford PerformanceVehicles company was formed and the FPV brand name was created to replace the FTE name. A restructured range was developed based on Ford’s BA Falcon and headlined by the FPV GT-P. The FPV brand has blossomed in subsequent years.

The 2003 BA range included the GT, GT-P, and the Pursuit. The GT was the entry level vehicle, which started at AU$59,810. The GT-P was the upmarket version of the GT, with an RRP of AU$69,850. The Pursuit was a ute (utility) version of the GT, featuring the same seats, basic dash/interior package and wheels. All three were powered by a unique version of Ford's 5.4-litre Modular V8, with DOHC 4-valve cylinder heads from the Mustang Cobra R engine. FPV named this uniquely tuned engine as the Boss 290 because of its power output. It produced 290 kW (394 PS; 389 hp) at 5500 rpm and 520Nm (384ftlbs) of torque at 4500 rpm

The base is worth a pic by itself.

A modern Australian muscle car at it's finest . . . This Biante model is nothing short of breathtaking. The pics do all the talking necessary. This was acquired in a trade with Diecastdingo last year.

Extremely attractive!

What scale is this?

I wish NA cars were as attractive as the Euro/Aus counterparts!

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
That's a beauty, and that's also true scale 1/64.

Oddly enough, this is one of the cars I had taken pics of recently but they didn't turn out well enough to use. :( So kudos to Zach for getting it up and running.

STUPENDOUS!

I have a few Biantes here. Including the Ute version of the displayed.

If Ford manufactured such vehicles here, and advertised properly, they never would've gotten in trouble. It's easier to get someone in Seizure Village to buy a car like this than it is to have gotten a Honda loyalist to even look at a 2003 Taurus!

This Falcon is a beautiful car!

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
 I think the car itself AND the diecast are very smart looking. I'd drive this one without thinking twice.
