That was my favorite find in my last showroom posting.

It'd be so neat to see it in other colours too!

New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
Steve, shouldn't it be called a "New casting of an old Caddy?"

Refreshing issue for JL....I'll get me a couple of this one.

But it isn't a new casting. It's been around for about ten years now (ex-Racing Champions casting).

That makes sense. It's beautifully done in the green here.

out of the two that are out I prefer the blue. I was unable to find the RC casting.

I have the old black RC version that started all this.
The chrome on the RC version enhances the headlight and grill area, and the chrome engine and bumpers are cool too.
But I like the JL versions better, I guess because they are more colorful.
The only detail change I would make to the JL version is to detail out the little lights on the top of the front fenders.

Then it's another one I MISSED! Why does the packaging say, "New Casting?" New for JL, I suppose.
Okay, than in that case, this should be titled "Newly acquired and newly reissued old casting of a an old Caddy."

As someone pointed out on some board, it dosen't say "New Casting". Rather, it says New! (note the exclamation mark after the word New) and then the word casting below it. It's kind of sleezy, but in those terms, it is a 'new' release. And secondly, it is a 'casting'. Just not a 'New Casting'.
I think JL suckered a lot of us, me included, into buying some of their latest releases when we saw those words 'New! casting'.

My personal favorite is how they've been issuing some old Playing Mantis era JL cars into this line with that same "NEW!" when those castings have been available for years. What they should say is "NEW PLASTIC BASE" or "NEWLY AVAILABLE IN FOREVER 64" which would be more accurate. The last wouldn't be bad, in all honesty. More truthful for the old time collectors like all of us, and yet proves there's something new for the newest JL collectors too.

:(

It would've been nice to see the base done in silver, so the bumpers wouldn't be flat black.

I just saw the W/L of this on the bay with a white body and blue wires on the rims and normal color tires...probably one of the nicer W/Ls in my opinion.
