The Mitsuoka Motor Corp Ltd began as a specialty coachbuilder. Their first products were replicas of classic Porsches and Jaguars. In 1993 Mitsuoka obtaind full recognition as a true Japanese passenger car manufacturer. Their products vary greatly in size and design. In 2001, they introduced a second generation of the LeSeyde sports coupe. This classically designed car shows a stong resemblance to the former US Zimmersand Excalibers. The only known small scale manufacturer of cars manufactured by this marque is Tomica. In addition to the LeSeyde model Tomica also provides a replica of the Vewt, which shows design similarities to previous Jaguar sedans using the vertical oval grille and rear end styling.

Even though I usually don't collect non-Amerian made cars anymore, I did get this one also. It and most others are available from our new resident dealer member Bob Blum in Albany NY at www.tomysource.com
