I couldn't resist grabbing this one either- the half vinyl roof is a very nice touch, and the color is gorgeous! |

I've had this same reaction to diecast of this color in the past. But it's a real car color that a zillion people have for their 1/1s...so yeah, a lot of people like it. It's not my all time favorite color, but it does look better up close. And the two-toned roof really is a nice little touch

I found the two tone brown '81 Malibu from Rel 4 of F64 last weekend. This was the 2nd time I saw it and bought this one after passing on it once before at a different WM. Still no sign of these WM exclusives so far. Will say that if you look at the newest releases of the 64 line as just soley $2 releases, they are quite nice. In that context alone, I think they are worth the investment so long as they have opening hoods, motors, and 'chrome' rims and you like the model. While judged against the older normal all metal/detailed JLs of past years, they don't hold up too well IMHO, but at this price range, the line seems to be thriving. Somebody must be buying these $2 JLs cause they seem to constantly sell out in my area. They are a notch above most $1 HWs and a dollar cheaper than the HWs Garage themed series. The casting selections still seem quite limited and we have a handful that seem to show up in every series such as the '50 Burban and a Camaro which won't go away. VWs are MIA as well as sedans minus the '67 Fury. So while this line by JL is hardly foolproof or perfect, is does seem to be keeping the brand floating, even if we all aren't impressed. |

I happen to like this color! Then again I like purples and pinks too, so maybe I just have no taste. Yellows and reds tend to be the colors I shy away from in diecast (which is odd, considering red is one of my favorite colors). |

I don't mind the purple and pink tones as much as I used to. Certain cars just seem to fit those colors. I used to shy away from green cars too...and green is a color I like. So I guess you're not alone in that group, Sean. I think cars are sort of prejuced in colors we tend to think of as those our parents drove or something. It's only after hearing many opinions of people on the boards that I really took a look at some things I didn't like and asked myself why. I still prefer some colors--and even some cars--in moderation. But I've learned to appreciate a lot more these days. Like all interesting art forms, cars are a very aquired taste. I'm just glad there are people here to point out some of the things I didn't always notice--or even know about previously. |

Wal-Mart Exclusive? Does that mean Wal-Mart is only getting this variation? Because I've had this car for months, bought from a guy who buys directly for RC2. |

This is one I'd like to have...WM near me needs to restock as the same ol' pegwarmers are still there. (And none of them are JL.)
