New casting? Quick! Take it apart!
I think it's a lot easier to pull up a beer and watch J.David improve and expand on his junkyard. Or any of the other contibutors.
But I have to admit David's junkyard walls made me look at other materials that could be used in similar fashion, but then I'd have to build a specific location.

Heya Ivan...it's 5 o'clock somewhere :) Beer = yum

I actually got the idea for the walls from Swifty's salvage yard. I modified it a bit for my use, but I can't really take the credit.

I can't really take the credit either, that belongs wholly to Sak's better half, Carolyn!

I used them for a posting at HWC.com, where most contributors didn't do anything with their cars except keep them in BP's, so this was sort of a shock to them--a junkyard of castings and pieces.
I love shocking people like that. It has the same effect as using profanity on some people, it's like the 'Knights Who Say NEE' thing.

There were people on the MCCH back in the day who were truly offended by anyone who would so much as breathe improperly on a regular wheeled Lesney...much less abide anyone who would take one apart (regardless of condition) to restore or alter. Blasphemy. Sacrelige! Defilement!

Morons.
