as some of you know i already own a 1982 2.8 v6 mk2 ford granada saloon which im gradually getting upto a showable condition.well as that one is so tidy and clean i dont really want to use it every day i only want to use that one for shows and weekends really so i bought this.

this one is a 1984 ford granada ghia x 2.8 injection this was the top of the range granada and is the highest spec and at the time was a very high spec car.
being a ghia x it bares few more extras than my saloon as the saloon is only a ghia. this one has heated electric seats air conditioning, digital 80s display and some more extras like the chrome roof rack. this ones tattier than the saloon but then again its not going to be mint for a 26 year old car thats been used daily
both cars are automatics

Looks great, Harlan!

I don't think Ford was doing heated seats here yet at that time. However, Ford DID do something known as the Insta-Clear windshield a couple of years later, on the Panthers. Flick a button, and a filament inside the windshield would heat up, and would be able to melt ice on the windshield up to a half inch thick within a couple of minutes. Shame it didn't catch on- replacing such a windshield cost thousands
