Support your local demo derby.

Bought two of these today. One as a keeper and the other for the wheels. This is the first one in the 64 line that actually reminds me of the normal JL line detail wise. To think, I really don't like Vettes much to start with. For the price though, it was hard to say no, esp for cheap wheel swaps.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
It doesn't hurt that this is the first release with a stock hood & paint scheme.

I have this one, and the wheels look great on it IMO. Hopefully we'll see a stock white recolor soon which is my favorite color on Corvettes.

It really looks good in yellow...and those wheels will look great on any number of other cars.

Found both wheel variations of this Vette.
"Both wheel variations"?
When will the insanity stop?
I my opinion the more that this practise continues the more that the manufacturer alienates its collector base and potential buyers.
Think about that Typhon with the FOUR variations; with two different types of wheels and with or without the roof racks.
ONE casting with NO variations I might and probably would purchase but give me a break, FOUR variations of the same casting.
Enough is enough.

Maybe the company should actively and actually find stores to sell the product first so that collectors can buy the product.
I've got tired of searching and not finding Johnny Lightning castings at the local level for a prolonged period of time.
I'm also tired of having to spend extra money in shipping costs, Customs fees, etcetra to purchase Johny Lightning castings out of the United States because they are not available in Canada.
I also believe that we have been getting an inferior product with the advent of the plastic base on the castings for the most part. I cannot justify spending $4.00 to $5.00 a pop on a JL casting before I get to hold it in my hand just because it is a JL.

This is my nickel's worth on the subject today.

Cheers. Cobra

Well, if it's any consolation, the car posted has rubber tires, so spending the two bucks on it won't hurt so much. The second has plastic tires, but real nice five-spoke mags (nice, IMO, anyway). So, for the variation nuts--and there are a lot of us out here--JL is doing a great service by offering tampo and wheel options on their casting releases.
