Today, me and my family visited CAMA--the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association (click here for website). If you like tractors or old machinery, this is the place to visit! Today was the "Spring Power-Up" where they have some of the old steam-powered machines and tractors running. These tractors were driving around the grounds...it was like stepping back in time: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here are some of the tractors on display: ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not sure if these were brought by guests/members or are part of the CAMA inventory: ![]() ![]() There is a train on a 3 foot gauge track and you can take a 15 minute ride...for FREE! ![]() The sad news is that the owner wants to sell it, so the association is trying to get enough donations to buy it. Without the working train, it wouldn't be the same. Finally, some cars I saw on-site and off when driving through town: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Please feel free to post your comments or details about the vehicles posted. Hope you enjoyed the show! |

I would've enjoyed the visit there. Interesting vehicles! I like the station wagon there, fourth up from the bottom... |

WOW! I'm quite envious that you got so see so many cool old iron tractors at one place. Excellent pics Vin. Do you know who made the first tractor in your pics? The GP is cool old school JD done right. Don't think I've seen a Fordson in black/orange color combo before either. Many thanks for the pics.

I had the boys at the CSI lab zoom in on the pics and enhance them ...it looks like the maker is Eclipse:![]() Zach, I knew you were into tractors so I had you in mind, but I figured there may be others who would like to see the pics, also. There are many more tractors, and some steam engines bigger than the Eclipse that look like a train except with tractor wheels!

An update...my pics were published on the CAMA website! Click here to view. It appears the big black tractor is a Frick, not an Eclipse (see the notes below the photos). I guess I just didn't know what the Frick it was. (uh-oh...that doesn't sound right...PLEASE DON'T BANNINATE ME...I HAVE A WIFE AND KIDS! ) |

Congrats on the honor and no worry, you're not going to be banned. I've never heard of Frick brand tractors either, maybe Zach has some insight?
