The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
And a picture of what may be the nicest Citation I've seen since the 1980s! And it's an X-11 to boot.

Best part, that is a perfect profile picture. Can anyone say emoticar? :D

Swifty is referring to the JL Blog.

Don't think i've seen any of these on the local roads in 10+ years. They don't show up for compact derbies even!

I need this car...when I was a kid, the Pastor at my church had a Citation..granted it was a 4-door, but I still want this one.

There's a reason why you don't see these on the roads anymore...they just disintegrated from rust. :P

Sorry, but I have no love (or even like) for the Citation. It's a boring design, had poor build quality and was underpowered. In fact, GM was so embarrassed about the HP of the V6 HO that the #s weren't even published in the brochure! (Click here to see the entire brochure) The Citation and its contemporaries helped solidify the "American cars are junk" mindset that unfortunately still prevails with many today--why would we want to celebrate it in diecast?

But, in all fairness, the Citation is still a significant car. If we get enough of them together, they can be used to plug up the oil well spill in the Gulf of Mexico... B)

Wouldn't dumping Citations in the Gulf be an even larger environmental outrage? Someone might even get a *gasps* citation for doing so...

Sorry, that pun has been wanting to come out for years. :D ;)

I'll get my coat.

In all seriousness I prefer having more of the normal day to day cars. I love Mustangs and Supras, and some of my other favorites definitely don't qualify as 'daily drivers' by any stretch of the imagination (I mean, I'd love to have a Superbird as a daily driver but yeah...), but cars like the Gremlin, Pacer, Citation, Pinto, and Omni 024 really do move me. I love them all! But I also know they aren't everyone's cup of tea. But I also do dioramas so I need more average cars and fewer muscle cars and sports cars. I'd have liked a 4 door over the X-11, actually! Hot Wheels did the X-11 when the car was new (repeat, Hot Wheels did the Citation, on their own, as one of their new models for 1980....yes that's how bad American cars were in the late '70s/early '80s) but the four door would be unique in this scale.
