Suntoys has six castings currently being offered at Dollar Tree stores. The castings have been around for a couple of years, most commonly available at the time, in the US at Dollar General stores. Compared to the Dollar General offerings from back then, two models are re-colors, two have lost their tampos, and two remain the same. BMW X-3 is now painted blue: ![]() ![]() BMW Z-4 is now offered in red: ![]() Lexus IS300 and Toyota Celica lost their tampo designs on the sides, and look quite nice plain ![]() ![]() Lincoln Navigator and Ford F-150 are in the same colors as before, but both F-150s I bought at Dollar General had a casting flaw where the lower-rear rectangle of the rear fender was missing on one side. That error has been fixed and the metal extends to the bottom of the bumper on both sides. ![]() ![]() Here's the packaging: ![]() And a scale reference pic for anyone not familiar with the castings, with Matchbox Volvo C30's for comparison: ![]() I hope the pics were informative! I picked up this set of cars. I like them and did have some concerns about the Ford and Lincoln. Still a nice group of cars for a buck each.

I'll have to grab the BMWs and Toyotas. I may pick up a few of the Lincoln for customs. |

Support your local demo derby.

The version I have with side tampos was more of a red than orange David. The Z-4, Celica and F-150 are nice enough. Major props to you for these great pics and information Dean.

Its a little bit of both. More red than orange, but not a true red. The BMW Z4 is a true, rich red. You can see the difference between the two in the group picture. Dean Edited by Dean-o-mite, May 14 2010, 09:04 PM.

Thanks for the heads-up...Dollar Trees by me usually don't have anything good, so I'll have to hunt there again.

I found all of these on the pegs today at a DT in Hamden, CT. I picked out a bunch of them and headed to the register. Only one register was open and it had a long line waiting. I just left the cars on a shelf and walked out. I hate waiting, especially when the cashier is soooo slow. I'll pick them up another time. Of all of them, I like the yellow Toyota the best. |

I'm glad to read I'm not the only one. My significant other tells me I'm too impatient, but I feel that if a store wants my hard-earned money, they better not appear to be lazy about collecting it. I'm patient if the store is just busy, but they are working hard with several registers open. Dean |

I bought all of them, they seem pretty common now at DT stores in my area. These cars are very light. One would almost think they were made out of plastic. |

Makes three of us. I tend to shop in the off hours (middle of the night) and/or check out through outlying registers (electronics, garden, etc.) to avoid the lines. Self checkouts are nice but annoy me- I feel like they should pay me if they want me to do all the work! |

Hate to cause more frustration, but Kimmo recently advised Suntoys has recently issued a 56 T-Bird ( without the Continental spare tire ?) and 65 Mustang Fastback. Both were found at Dollar Tree in Calif- but none have been spotted on the East Coast yet! |

From the pictures I've seen, I think the Mustang is a '67-'68 Shelby, not a '65 fastback. And I went looking for the classic Fords this past weekend but had no luck. But I did find all of the cars shown in the first post, including an extra Navigator for custom purposes.

I have one boxed somewhere in the garage and I think it is a 67-68 Shelby. Jeff and I picked up some of these last year on the trip to MCCH Gathering. They were packaged in boxes under Express Wheels name. |
