The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

I've got this one myself- great casting, one I wouldn't mind see creep back into the budget JL line with some nicer wheels and details. Too bad the real car is much too obscure.

Glad you like it the EXP David. It helps having a local New Holland implement dealer that has 25+ year old ERTL stock still on the pegs. If anyone else wants one of these Fords, lmk and send me a pm. I was over there last weekend and they still had two on the pegs for $2.95. They also still had perhaps one of the '57 Thunderbirds by ERTL as well for the same price. |

That is cool. I have never seen it. Crafty if you can still garb one for me I would appreciate it. I had one back in the 80's. It was such a pig of a car.

Interesting. That's a great diecast to own. The seldom produced subjects are the most fun.

Not with the car-nuts here, Sean! I remember when these were new...it was a dog...an Escort + a 200 lbs heavier body = a SLOWER Escort! The 0 to 60 time for the prior year's Escort was 14.6 seconds--and no, that wasn't in the quarter. My boss had one, and thought he was cool. The fit and finish was horribibble, too...definitely not a shining hour for FoMoCo.It's nice to see a ne'er-do-well represented in diecast, so we can keep in mind what NOT to build! My dad almost bought one back in 82, he was all set to but the money down on it when he found out he could get an 82 Stang with T-top for $10.00 more. What would you have done? |

The Ertl example is tops. Zee made one with pullback action. I am sure there is one more but cannot think at the moment who made it! Kimmo |
