Sean and I were down in Columbus this morning. The heat kept most of the vendors away...but we found a few things. This here was my catch of the day:![]() This would be a 1:25 Volvo 164E by Polistil. And, unlike the technical superiority as promulgated by the uh...Socialist Paradise that was headquartered in Moscow, we have here FOUR OPENING DOORS that operate independently of each other...in udder woids, the rear doors can open without the front doors opening first. This is a very nice model! ![]()

Nice find, George I always thought these models were well built and well-detailed for the era.

Holy Cow Batman! I thought the Sakster in light of Mrs Sakster's condition had just bought her a new 1:1 Volvo, so her and the youngin' would be safe in their travels, That thing does everything!!!!, Does the motor still run? Headlights still light up? Nice catch..... How did you beat Sean to cash register with it? |

He really showed no interest! I mulled it over, until the guy told me how much it was (inexpensive). I said, man, I have to have this one! I think it's my first Polistil model, I'm not sure. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Simple- Sean does not collect 1/25 items. That said, it's a real beauty, especially in person!

You go to Union Station on a Saturday night, and take the train- a three hour ride- up here. Stay the night, we go in the morning, and when we get home I make an incredible breakfast for ya. Go home Sunday afternoon or night, or whatever. Come on up. |
