My question is . Is there a detailed casting of the '53 Studebaker Starliner in any scale? I have one that HWs made and one I found at Walgreens(Speed wheels I think) but I like to find one made that has the same detail of the JL cars. Since you guys are very knowledgable about these diecast cars I figured I ask the experts. I really don't care for Studebaker cars all that much except for the '53 Starliner. I believe the Starliner was way before its time and it still looks good today. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Paul R. |

There are several nice ones in large scale. The Danbury Mint made a nice 1/24 version and Maisto made a custom appearing one in the same scale. The small scale value brand of Maisto called Fresh Metal has a 3" version of a non-stock '53 Starliner. ![]() Try this pic link for additional models. Most are large scale. Google Search The Schrock Brothers in Pennsylvania might have made a few '53 Starliners. 'Convertible' top up 'convertible' top down Here's a listing of the Studebakers and Packards they've done in 1/72: http://www.shrockbrothers.com/72nd_scale_cars.html |

Thank You! Those are awesome! I like the Pro Rodz 1/24 scale and I am not sure what brand but the stock version in blue looks cool. Of course, the black 1:1 version is just wicked. Thank you craftymore for the links and the pics. |

I have a beautiful 1:18 Starliner down in my basement. I also have one in 1:43 by Brooklin, in white metal. Pale seafoam green. I think the Brooklin's been retired. Zach, the first Shrock picture is of a pillared coupe. The Starliners were only hardtops (Champion 6 and Commander V-8). What is displayed is a Starlight. |

Thanks for pointing that out George. I just saw the 'Star' part of the name and went with that! |

Those are awesome! By the link that craftymore gave me I believe the 1/18 is made by Maisto. Looks like they did a superb job on replicating it. Thanks for sharing your pics of it, Sak. |
