The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

Whoa! Way too cool! I suppose they can cram a lot of detail into a model that big, but its the little touches like the opening gas cap and the goggles that make this one so full of win for me! Excellent! |

Thanks for the replies guys. I really like this car, and knowing that George Lucas (director of "American Graffiti", the Star Wars movies, and the Indiana Jones movies) designed the paint scheme in his younger days makes the car even cooler. I'm guessing he was about 19 years old when he designed the paint scheme for the "Executor".The textured seats, moveable shifter and emergency brake are also a nice feature on the model. This is one of my large scale models that I have to play with once in awhile.

My buddy had a 1965 Shelby Cobra with Weber carbs like the "Executor". The carbs were a $1200 option over the base price of $5995......so total was $7195. That was a lot of money in 1965!!!!!! His car was silver. The Weber carbs raised the horsepower to 343 HP. Pretty good for a 289 cubic inch motor in 1965. It was a BLAST to ride in that car!!!!!! |
